I contributed quite a bit of programming to this website. For example:

1. Enabling the product database to feed into a product syndication system (Mercent Retail) . I played the lead role in this 3-month project. I worked with developers from Mercent Retail, as well as our in-house DBA, IT Manager, and Merchandising. The project was quite complex, but I basically integrated our existing website and website content management system into a completely separate system. I completed this project without interrupting the existing flow of sales and website management.
2. This website is updated daily with new content (image, specials, text, etc.). I programmed features so that certain content could update automatically or with limited effort. The most recent example is when I phased out the need for an expensive, time-consuming 3rd-party image color-swatch system. In its place is my better-looking and 5-times easier to update image swatch. My image swatch is dynamic, and appears on product detail pages if-and-only-if additional product images exist.

I programmed and designed 90% of this website on my own.

1. I structured this website so that it would be extremely simple to edit/add content (content management). For example, I made it easy to:
   • Edit the <title> and/or <meta> tags on any particular page (for SEO purposes).
   • Edit or add a featured product/special to any particular page.
   • Edit categories and add new products.
   • Edit product prices and descriptions.
   • Change the page banner image.
2. I organized the layers within each Photoshop CS3 (.psd) file so that it would be extremely simple to create new banners, new promotions, new featured products, etc.
3. I Integrated Google Website Optimizer into the homepage.

• The banner, featured special, and 3-featured products show up in different combinations for different customers. The website optimizer admin panel shows a report of which combination results in the highest conversions.

1. I integrated Google Calendar so that the property owners could update availability and rates through their Google Account.
2. I added PayPal so that renters could pay online
3. I added a "Recreation" guide so that potential renters can see all of the activities within walking distance. (make sure to look at this. Click the "Recreation" link.)
4. I added an AJAX glider to the photos section.
5. I added their property to Google Maps (Click Here). Since then, the number of daily hits to their site has increased 5 times.
6. I submitted their property to the Open Directory Project. When it gets approved, it will also increase the traffic to their website.
